This is a set of quality and management standards. ISO Standard 9001 was prepared by the ISO/TC176 Technical Committee of the International Organization for Standardization and specifies the requirements for proper quality management systems, which can be applied internally at organisations, for certification or for contract-related purposes. ISO 9001 has its origins in standard BS 5750, published in 1979 by the British Standards Institution (BSI). Olive Line International has the latest version, which dates from 2008, hence the name, 9001:2008.
